Fensore Named Hockey East Defender of the Week

AMESBURY, Mass. - Junior Domenick Fensore of the Boston University men's ice hockey team has been named Hockey East Defender of the Week, the league announced on Monday.

Fensore was outstanding for the Terriers this past weekend. He notched two points in each contest, including two assists in the Terriers' 4-1 win over Sacred Heart on Saturday. Fensore also tallied a goal and an assist on Friday night. The Thornwood, New York, native also blocked five shots over the weekend, including four on Friday.

In four games this season, Fensore has totaled a team-high five points thanks to one goal and a team-best four assists. He is also tied for the team lead with seven blocked shots.

BU will return to conference play this weekend when the Terriers face Merrimack in a home-and-home series that begins Friday in North Andover and concludes Saturday at Agganis. Fans can purchase tickets for Saturday's contest by clicking here.
