Women's Tennis to Face UConn and Holy Cross over Weekend

BOSTON – After facing UConn on Saturday at the Winchester Tennis Center, the Boston University women's tennis team will host Holy Cross on Sunday afternoon at the Track & Tennis Center. Both matches have a 1 p.m. start time.
Last weekend, the Terriers (7-7, 1-0 PL) moved to .500 after posting a 4-0 win at Rhode Island and 4-0 victory vs. Loyola Maryland in New York. Senior Shelly Yaloz leads BU with 13 singles wins with freshman Michelle Kleynerman (12) and junior Erica Di Battista (11) close behind.
In doubles, Yaloz and sophomore Kaitlin Tan have teamed for a 10-2 record. Graduate student Emily Kim and Di Battista own six wins, while Kleynerman and sophomore Victoria Carlsten own five victories together.
The Huskies (7-6) are looking to snap a three-match losing streak following losses to Bryant (4-3), St. John's (6-1) and Army West Point (7-0). BU won the last meeting on the road last season, 4-3.
The Crusaders (5-9) are 0-4 in conference play with 4-0 losses to Lafayette, Loyola Maryland and the Black Knights following a 7-0 defeat to Colgate. BU won last season's decision at Holy Cross, 7-0.
Following the two matches, BU will head to West Point, New York, to face Lehigh on Saturday, April 9, and the host Black Knights on Sunday, April 10.
