January 2, 2023

AMESBURY, Mass. - Senior captain Domenick Fensore of the Boston University men's ice hockey team was named Hockey East Defender of the Week on Monday afternoon.

Fensore was fantastic in the Terriers' 2-1 overtime win over No. 9 Harvard on Friday night. He scored the game-winning goal during his third shift of the overtime period on one of his team-high seven shots on goal. Fensore also led the Terriers with three blocked shots in a complete 60-minute performance.

This is the second time that Fensore has earned this honor, as he was also named Hockey East Defender of the Week on Dec. 5. Friday's strike was his third game-winning goal of the season and it extended his point streak to seven games. He has totaled six goals and four assists in that span. For the season, Fensore has scored a career-high seven goals and added nine assists for 16 points.

BU, now up to No. 6 in both national polls, will travel to Arizona State this week for the Desert Hockey Classic. The Terriers will face Air Force on Friday before facing either Michigan Tech or the host Sun Devils the next day.
