BOSTON – The Boston University women's lacrosse team (3-0, 0-0 PL) is set for a weekend trip to South Carolina with games at Wofford and Presbyterian. BU will face Wofford on Friday at 2 p.m. and Presbyterian on Sunday at noon.
TERRIER TIDBITS
- In its first road contest of the season, BU most recently defeated Iona 14-9.
- Grad student Maddie MacMaster has scored the most goals for the Terriers this season with nine.
- Sophomore Abby Cotraro became the sixth Terrier this season to score at least a hat trick in a single game with three goals.
- Senior Lauren Kaye has scored at least one goal in every game so far this season.
- Leading in ground balls this season is senior Claire Gola with 11. She also leads in caused turnovers with nine.
- Gola received an honorable mention from the Patriot League for midfielder of the week.
- Sophomore Tobey Tick netted two goals against Iona to bring her season total to four.
- In the net, junior Reilly Agres has played the full three games for BU and has 20 saves so far.
- For the second season in a row, senior Jennifer Barry continues to lead the Terriers in draw controls and has recorded 30 so far.
- Junior Ellen Monahan has caused five turnovers and scooped up five ground balls so far this season. Right behind is grad student Maggie Lohrer also with five ground balls and four caused turnovers.
- Freshman Jayne Feeney continues to be the lone freshman to score for BU and added a goal at Iona.
- Sophomore Hannah Tillier had a career-best day in assists and points at Iona with four in both categories.
SCOUTING THE TERRIERS
- Wofford is 0-2 to start the season.
- The Terriers lost on the road at Clemson 23-1 and to Lehigh at home 17-1.
- Lehigh and BU are the only Patriot League opponents for Wofford this season.
- Eight freshmen and 18 returners make up the roster for the Terriers this season.
- Head coach Jessie Aguglia is in her is in her first season at Wofford.
SERIES HISTORY
- This will be the first meeting between BU and Wofford.
SCOUTING THE BLUE HOSE
- Presbyterian starts the season 1-1.
- The Blue Hose fell to Coastal Carolina in the season opener, 20-3.
- Most recently, Presbyterian defeated Delaware State 11-10.
- Sunday will be the first home contest for the Blue Hose.
- Four freshmen and 20 upperclassmen make up the Presbyterian roster.
- Head coach Eric Clakely is in his fourth season at the helm.
