
Terriers Top Wofford, 15-8

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Thanks to goals from seven different Terriers and three hat tricks, BU women's lacrosse (4-0, 0-0 PL) completed a 15-8 defeat over Wofford on Friday afternoon. Senior Claire Gola, junior Tobey Tick and sophomore Hannah Tillier all scored at least a hat trick in the victory.
Wofford was first to get on the board but BU was quick to respond with a third of its goals coming in the first quarter alone. The Terriers added six more goals before the close out the half to help propel themselves to the victory.
In net, junior Reilly Agres made her fourth consecutive start and played the full game. She made five saves in the win.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After a slow start to the game, Wofford was first to score on the day with a goal a little over halfway into the period.
- BU went on to score five unanswered goals in the first quarter.
- Senior Jennifer Barry lit the lamp for the Terriers with help from sophomore Matty Spaeth.
- The next three goals for BU were scored by Gola who was assisted by Tick and Barry on the first two, respectively.
- Tick closed out the scoring for BU in the first quarter with help from Tillier.
- Wofford grabbed one more goal before the close of the first frame with BU leading 5-2.
- BU scored its most goals in the second quarter. The first two came from Tillier, unassisted, and were broken up by a pair of Wofford goals.
- Of BU's next four goals, the first, third and fourth were scored by Tick. She was assisted by sophomore Abby Cotraro on the first and sophomore Libby Carbo on the fourth. Tick scored all three goals in between 5:33 and 0:29 left in the half.
- Senior Lauren Kaye was the other Terrier to score within that stretch with a goal at 2:22 on the free position.
- The Terriers went into halftime with the lead, 11-4.
- Wofford scored just 35 seconds into the third quarter but BU was quick to answer back.
- Barry scored her 10th goal of the season at the 9:44 mark with help from Kaye.
- Tillier completed her hat trick thanks to an assist from Claire Gola.
- With one second to go in the third, Carbo netter her first goal of the game with help from Cotraro.
- BU was awarded a yellow card early in the fourth which opened a chance for Wofford to score.
- Wofford grabbed another unassisted goal before junior Kaelin Isaacson netted her first goal of the season at 11:24 with help from junior Cassie Reinertson.
- The final goal of the game came at the 11:11 mark when Wofford scored to bring the final result to BU 15, Wofford 8.
GAME NOTES
- BU and Wofford were an even 24 on overall shots, but BU outshot Wofford on goal 21-15.
- The BU Terriers picked up 16 ground balls to Wofford's 15. Senior Quinn Ferry led BU in the category with three.
- Wofford registered 13 draw controls while BU registered 11.
- Tick was BU's top points scorer with five.
- BU went 2-for-2 on the free position

- BU will continue its South Carolina trip down the road at Presbyterian on Sunday (Feb. 26). Opening draw is set for noon.
