Men's Ice Hockey Announces 2023-24 Schedule

July 13, 2023

BOSTON - Highlighted by 16 games against teams that qualified for the either the 2022 or 2023 NCAA Tournament, including a home date with reigning national champion Quinnipiac, the Boston University men's ice hockey team announced its 2023-24 schedule on Thursday.

BU, the defending Hockey East regular-season and tournament champion, will host 15 regular-season games and two exhibition contests at Agganis Arena. Fans can purchase season tickets by clicking here.

In addition to a 24-game league schedule and the 71st annual Men's Beanpot, the Terriers will play eight non-conference games against some of the country's top programs. That non-conference slate is highlighted by a home game against Quinnipiac (Nov. 22) and a two-game series against North Dakota on Nov. 3-4, marking the first visit to Agganis for the Fighting Hawks since 2013.

As announced earlier on Thursday morning, BU and Cornell will face off on Nov. 25 in the ninth edition of Red Hot Hockey at Madison Square Garden. This will be a rematch of the 2023 NCAA Manchester Regional final, which the Terriers won, 2-1, to clinch their 23rd Frozen Four appearance.

BU will open its 2023-24 campaign at Bentley on Oct. 7 before beginning league play on Oct. 13 at New Hampshire. Following a home exhibition against the U.S. National Under-18 Team, the Terriers will trek to Notre Dame for a two-game series against the Fighting Irish on Oct. 20-21. BU will then return to Boston for its home opener on Oct. 27 against UMass.

The Terriers will face Boston College three times during the regular season, with BU hosting the back end of a home-and-home series on Jan. 26-27 before the longtime rivals meet in the opening round of the Beanpot at TD Garden.

Game times will be announced later this summer. All home and Hockey East games will be broadcast on ESPN+, as will the Terriers' Dec. 29 trip to Yale.
