The Boston University field hockey team will kick off this year's Turnpike Trophy schedule when they host Holy Cross on Friday (Oct. 4) in a game that will be televised on NESN and streamed on ESPN+.
TERRIER TIDBITS
- The Terriers are closing out a stretch with four of five games taking place at New Balance Field.
- BU posted a 3-0 victory over Lehigh on Saturday as graduate student Kate Thomason turned in a seven-save shutout.
- Senior Payton Anderson scored twice and fifth-year senior Tess Csejka added a late goal.
- The Terriers have scored on 12 of their 43 corners this season for a conversion percentage of 28 percent, which ranks second in the nation.

- Holy Cross has earned non-conference wins this season against Stonehill, Long Island, Merrimack and Sacred Heart.
- Senior Meggan Fourie leads the team in points (13) and goals (6).
- Fifth-year senior Sarah Potter has added nine points on the strength of four goals while sophomore Marissa McLean has eight points, including a Patriot League-best six assists.
- Freshman Mia McCloskey has played every minute in goal this season and she has a 2.42 goals-against average and a .753 save percentage.
SERIES HISTORY VS. THE CRUSADERS
- Monday will mark the 31st matchup between the two programs.
- BU is 27-2-1 all-time against Holy Cross, including wins in the past 27 meetings.
- Last season, the Terriers posted a 4-0 road win over the Crusaders with goals from Martu Coulo, Caroline O'Brien, Payton Anderson and Pili Alvarez.
- Kate Thomason picked up her first career shutout in last year's win.
- BU is 13-1-1 in home contests against Holy Cross.
