BOSTON – The Boston University women's lacrosse team is set to face No. 18 Navy on Saturday. Opening draw against the Mids is scheduled for noon.

TERRIER TIDBITS

BU looks to earn its first win in league play after a 16-13 loss at Bucknell.
Junior Raegan Bailey had her best performance as a Terrier on the road against the Bison with four goals.
Freshman Tessa Geddes leads BU on the draw with 42 this season.
Senior Tobey Tick had two goals at Bucknell for her first goals since the game at Stonehill.
Senior Ellen Monahan has 19 ground balls and 12 caused turnovers this season.
Junior Hannah Tillier has the second-most goals for BU with 14 and points with 21.
Scoring in six out of seven games this season is junior Abby Cotraro who scored one goal at Bucknell.
Freshman netminder Natalie Aiosa made 10 saves against Bucknell which is her fourth occurrence this season.
BU is 11th in the NCAA in free position percentage (0.568) and leads the Patriot League.
Monahan also leads the league in caused turnovers per game (1.71) and is 40th in the NCAA.
Aiosa is 24th in the NCAA in saves per game (9.00) and fifth in the league.
The Terriers rank 17th in the NCAA in draw controls per game and third in the league.

SCOUTING THE MIDS

Navy is 7-2 overall and 4-1 at home.
The Mids most recently fell to #8 Loyola 17-12.
Their other loss was to Drexel in a 13-12 outcome.
Navy is 2-1 against ranked foes with wins over then-#24 Duke and then-#20 Richmond.
The Mids won six games by eight or more goals.
Sixteen freshmen and 30 upperclassmen make up the Navy roster.
Head coach Cindy Timchal is in her 18th season at the helm.

THE SERIES

BU is 3-8 against Navy overall and 1-4 on the road.
This will be the 12th meeting between the Patriot League foes and the sixth in Annapolis, Md.
BU last defeated Navy in the 2023 regular season 12-11 when Navy was ranked #20, marking BU's first upset of a ranked foe since 2014.
The Terriers dropped the most recent contest to the Mids 20-13 when on the road for the PL Quarterfinals.
The last time the teams clashed at Navy in the regular season, BU lost 16-6.
