Women’s Lacrosse Heads to No. 7 Loyola Maryland Saturday

BOSTON – The Boston University women's lacrosse hits the road to face No. 7 Loyola Maryland on Saturday. Opening draw against the Greyhounds is scheduled for noon.
 
TERRIER TIDBITS
  • The Terriers most recently hosted Lehigh and fell 14-8.
  • Senior Ellen Monahan received an honorable mention for defender of the week after scooping up five ground balls, causing five turnovers and corralling 12 draw controls in the week against UMass Lowell and Lehigh.
  • Sophomore Elle Stevenson scored two goals against the Mountain Hawks to extend her points streak to four games.
  • Senior Tobey Tick and junior Hannah Tillier also had two points in the game against Lehigh with a goal and an assist each.
  • Senior Cassie Reinertson scored her second goal of the season against the Mountain Hawks. 
  • Freshman goalkeeper Natalie Aiosa caused her second turnover of the season and made seven saves in the loss.
  • Tillier is 43rd in the NCAA and sixth in the Patriot League in free position percentage with a value of 0.583.
  • Freshman Tessa Geddes is 43rd in the NCAA and sixth in the Patriot League in draw controls per game with a value of 5.25.
  • Monahan is 20th in the NCAA and fourth in the Patriot League in ground balls per game with 2.92.
  • BU ranks 36th in the NCAA and third in the Patriot League in draw controls per game with 14.67.
 
SCOUTING THE GREYHOUNDS
  • Loyola is 12-1 overall and 6-0 in league play.
  • The Greyhounds are undefeated at home and most recently topped #17 Princeton 21-11.
  • In its most recent Patriot League game, Loyola defeated Lafayette 17-3.
  • The closest conference game the Greyhounds have played was their 14-13 win over Army West Point.
  • Loyola's only loss was to then-No. 5 Syracuse 16-13.
  • Seven freshmen and 28 upperclassmen make up the Loyola roster.
