HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Terriers earned the first corner of the game and used it to take an early lead.
- The initial play at the top of the circle was broken but BU kept possession and set up a shot from the left side that was saved before Csejka pounced on the rebound and snuck it past PC netminder Asia Porter at the 2:07 mark.
- BU did not allow PC to record a shot until the final minute of the opening quarter but Ortyl handled a bid by Florencia Talarico to keep it a 1-0 game.
- The Friars had the better of the play in the second quarter, earning three corners in the stanza, but the Terrier defense was up to the task and took the one-goal lead into the break.
- In search of another goal, the Terriers earned back-to-back corners in the 37th minute but were unable to record a shot on either try.
- The Friars went right back down to the other end to collect two more corners only to have the threat end with a wide shot.
- Sophomore Olivia Hammer caused a turnover near the PC circle in the closing moments of the third quarter to create a chance that resulted in an attempt that went wide of the cage.
- BU got the insurance got it was looking for in the 53rd minute with a perfectly executed corner.
- Following an insert from Poerio, Driscoll set up a shot for Devine, who found the center boards at the 52:44 mark for a 2-0 cushion.
- PC pulled Porter in favor of an extra field player with 4:21 left in the contest and quickly got into the BU circle for a pair of corners.
- Ortyl came through with her sixth and seventh games of the contest with the latter starting a counter attack that led to the final goal.
- Epperson redirected a pass from Lauro into the empty cage with 2:38 to play to create the 3-0 final.
