BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Boston University women's soccer sophomore Ariana Schwinn-Clanton was selected as the Patriot League Midfielder of the Week for the week of Oct. 19, the league announced on Monday afternoon.
Schwinn-Clanton secured the honor for the first time in her career. She is the second Terrier this year to earn the league's Midfielder of the Week honor, joining freshman Sam Ryan, and the third Terrier overall to garner a weekly award in 2026.
The Andover, Mass. native was the hero in BU's 2-1 road victory over American on Oct. 17. With under four minutes remaining until halftime, Schwinn-Clanton met a right-corner cross from junior Olivia Avellar and headed home the ball by the left post to give the Terriers the lead for good. That marked her first collegiate goal and first point since her BU debut in 2025.
Becoming the third Terrier to tally her first career goal this season, Schwinn-Clanton has appeared in 10 games, making three starts. As of writing, she has played in 22 career matches while collecting three points on 13 shots.
BU prepares for a Turnpike Trophy matchup at Holy Cross on Friday, Oct. 23 at 4 p.m.
