TERRIER TIDBITS
- The Terriers had an offensive explosion at Stonehill on Wednesday, winning 21-14.
- BU got out to a 10-7 lead at the half beofre the Skyhawks tied it in the third, but the Terriers pulled away with 8 fourth-quarter goals for the win.
- Four Terriers tallied a hat trick or better: Jayne Feeney (4 goals), Izzy Amonte (3), Tessa Geddes (3) and Makenzie McDevitt (3).
- Two freshmen, Avery Cutair (1g, 4a) and Makenzie McDevitt (3g, 2a) each posted five points.
- That marks the first time a freshman has posted five points in a game since Hannah Kenneally did so in an April 28, 2019 game against Colgate.
- Cutair's four assists mark the first time a Terrier has achieved that mark since April 27, 2023.
- Tessa Geddes was the last Terrier freshman to record a hat trick before McDevitt's, tallying three goals on April 17, 2024.
- The Stags are 1-1 this season and are coming off a 10-6 loss to UConn on Wednesday (Feb. 11) after opening thier campaign with a 13-6 win over Rhode Island last Friday (Feb. 6).
- Sophomore Tessa Caputo leads the team in points with nine, thanks to three goals and six assists.
- She's tallied three assists in each contest so far.
- Junior Kelly Haggerty and senior Mary Henry have each scored four goals and are tied for the team lead.
- Graduate student Whitney Robinson has taken the lion's share of goalkeeping work, playing 90 minutes and sporting an 8.67 GAA and .500 save percentage.
- The Terriers are 5-2 against the Stags all-time.
- Fairfield has won the past two matchups, including a 13-9 decision at Nickerson Field in 2025.
- BU had a 9-6 lead in the third quarter last year, but coudn't stop the Stags comeback.
- Tessa Geddes scored two goals in the loss and Natalie Aiosa made 11 saves.
