HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Red Foxes made their mark on the scoresheet first, potting a goal 3:10 into the contest.
- They would score four more times in the first quarter and took a 5-0 lead into the second quarter.
- BU got on the board in the second quarter with Stevenson's tally while down a player, scoring in transition off a pass from Geddes, turning all the momentum in BU's direction.
- The next tally came from McDevitt off a free position with 10:25 remaining.
- Geddes was the next scorer, also off a free position, with 7:06 remaining in the half.
- Feeney potted her first goal of the game with 5:49 left in the half, taking a feed from McDevitt that threaded the needle into the slot and burying the goal.
- BU tied the game with 4:37 left in the half as Walsh went behind-the-back for a highlight-reel goal off an assist from Feeney.
- The Red Foxes would not quit, however, and answered with back-too-back goals.
- Feeney would score her second with 2:04 remaining in the half to try and cut the Marist run, but another Red Foxes goal gave them an 8-6 lead heading to the half.
- After the break, neither team found the scoreboard until the scoreboard showed 5:17 in the third quarter.
- From there, Stevenson received a pass from junior Alyssa Mozi and fired home her second goal of the game.
- Just 1:25 later, Stevenson once again found the back of the net — this time off a free position — tying the game at 8-8.
- With 2:02 remaining in the quarter, Amonte gave BU the lead for good as she darted toward the crease from below the goal and snuck a low shot through the goalkeeper's legs.
- The Terriers would score twice in the fourth, as Hodgins took an Amonte pass and came up from behind the goal to make it 10-8 BU.
- Stevenson would have the final say in the game, as she was delivered the ball from freshman Gabby O'Brien and fired home her fourth goal of the game with 6:53 left.
- With Aiosa's 12 saves, she has surpassed 300 career saves and sits at 307.
- She is just the sixth goaltender in BU history to surpass that mark.
- Stevenson's four-goal performance is her second in as many games this season.
- It marks the third time she has had back-to-back four goal games in her career.
- O'Brien's assist marked her first career point.
- Hodgins' goal extended her points streak to 13 games, dating back to the 2025 season.
- The Terriers are now 1-0 against Marist all-time.
- The Red Foxes were the fifth unique MAAC opponent BU has played over the past two seasons — the Terriers are 4-2 against those opponents in that time.
- The Terriers will next travel to Yale on Saturday, Feb. 21 for a 4 p.m. contest with the 14th-ranked Bulldogs.
