BOSTON — The Boston University women's lacrosse team opens up Patriot League play with a matchup with No. 23 Army West Point on Saturday morning.
Opening draw is set for 11:30 and will be streamed live on ESPN+.
BU hosts its annual Pride Game as well as Youth Day at Nickerson Field. Admission is free for kids in eighth grade and below. In addition to a pride rally towel and decal giveaway, BU's student-led Athlete Ally chapter is collecting new, unopened essential item donations such as cleaning products, household goods and hygiene products in conjunction with The Home for Little Wanderers.

TERRIER TIDBITS
- The Terriers dominated Stetson, 19-6, on Saturday.
- Four Terriers notched three-plus points and 14 Terriers had a point in the win.
- Freshman Avery Cutair scored a goal and had four assists, sophomore Tessa Geddes notched three goals and an assist, senior Elle Stevenson had a two-goal, two-assist performance and freshman Makenzie McDevitt posted three goals.
- On the defensive side, senior Siri Hodgins had a career day with five ground balls and four caused turnovers.
- Four Terriers scored their first career goals: Freshmen Gabby O'Brien and Karina Harrison, senior Alyssa Mozi and sophomore Nia Carrera.
- BU grabbed a 6-1 lead in the first quarter and never looked back in its second win this season with a margin of 10 goals or more.
- The Terriers won their first game in Florida since 2005, the last time BU played in the Sunshine State.
- BU is now 7-1 in games played in Florida
- Entering Saturday, Geddes is second in the Patriot League in free position goals per game with five in six games.
- Senior Leah Hodgins is on a 15-game points streak, dating back to last season.
- The Black Knights are coming off a 15-8 win over Fairfield and have wins over Florida State, Marist and Rutgers so far this season.
- Army has a three-pronged attack of Allison Reilly (17g, 25a), Brigid Duffy (17g, 10a) and Lily Valentini (17g, 5a) that has accounted for 61 percent of the team's goals.
- Duffy, a reigning USA Lacrosse First Team All-American, has also grabbed 17 ground balls, 21 draw controls and caused 10 turnovers.
- In net, Lindsey Serafine has backstopped her way to an 11.17 GAA and a .402 save percentage.
- BU is 3-6 all-time against Army West Point.
- The Black Knights have won six straight against the Terriers.
- BU is playing its second ranked opponent this year and is looking for its first ranked win since beating No. 20 Navy, 12-11, on Apr. 8, 2023.
