A former standout pitcher at Purdue, Suzie Rzegocki returns for her second season as an assistant coach of the Boston University softball team.

Rzegocki joined the Terriers after an impressive four-year career in which she helped lead the Boilermakers to two NCAA regional appearances. Departing after the 2011 season with seven school career records, she recorded a team-best 86 wins against 60 losses with a 2.18 ERA. She also struck out 728 hitters and shut out 29 teams in 940.2 innings of work.

In one of her highlight performances as a junior, she no-hit Ball State and added three hits of her own, including two home runs, for a 7-0 victory.

An All-American in high school and Illinois Gatorade Player of the Year, she garnered Big Ten All-Conference Third Team honors as a sophomore and Academic All-Big Ten accolades her senior year at Purdue.

Before joining the Terriers, she served as a the co-head varsity coach at Tri-County H.S. in Wolcott, Ind., and as an assistant coach for the Bulls/Sox Academy.
