Women's Soccer Blanked By Dartmouth, 3-0

The Terrier women's soccer team saw its record drop to 2-4-0 on Sept. 20 as it lost to Dartmouth, 3-0, in a game played at Singer Family Park in Manchester, NH.
It marked the third time this year the Terriers have been shut out, as they lost to Pacific, 1-0, in their season opener and to Brown, 1-0, on September 10th.
The Big Green, which improved its record to 3-1-0, got the only goal it would need just 6:09 into the contest when Laura Trouille took advantage of a feed from Devon Haskell and put the ball past Terrier freshman goalkeeper Jessica Clinton.
That's the way the score remained through the first half.
Then, in the second half, Gretchen Bell extended Dartmouth's lead to 2-0 when she fired a shot from 30 yards out past Clinton, who was making her third start of the season. Jamie Laing concluded the scoring with a goal in the 70th minute.
Dartmouth held a decided advantage in shots, 17-9. Clinton, whose record slipped to 1-2-0, had eight saves for the Terriers, while Kristin Luckenbill made four stops for the Big Green en route to posting her first shutout of the season.
