CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - Freshman forward Kelly Park earned Patriot League Rookie of the Week honors after scoring two goals against Army West Point last week, the conference announced on Monday afternoon.
The San Jose, Calif. native totaled eight shots against the Black Knights, rattling off three shots before hitting the crossbar throughout the first 18 minutes of the second half. Her next three shots would be on target, however, and all coming in the span of two minutes. She scored her first goal, the eventual game winner, before forcing the goalie to stop one and then netting a second.
With the win, the Terriers clinched a Patriot League Tournament quarterfinal round bye. The squad will be back in action on Saturday for the regular season finale against Navy at 1 p.m. on Nickerson Field.
