October 31, 2016 | Women's Soccer
CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - Following the announcement of her selection as Patriot League Defender of the Year this morning, senior center back Rachel Bloznalis was named the PL Defensive Player of the Week, the conference announced on Monday afternoon.
Bloznalis helped the Terriers complete their fifth shutout of the season by allowing just two shots on goal throughout the game. The Upton, Mass. native also showed her set-piece skill by scoring the game-winning goal off of service on a corner kick. The shot bent to the far post and went over the keeper's gloves to give the Terriers a 1-0 lead in the fifth minute.
BU is back in action on Friday, Nov. 4 at 7 p.m. for the Patriot League Semifinal Round, hosted by Bucknell.
