BU will host seven games in 2017, including contests against 2016 national semifinalist Loyola Maryland and 2016 NCAA Tournament participant Air Force. The Terriers will also play Navy, which advanced to the national quarterfinals a year ago, as well as Duke in a neutral-site contest in Bethpage, New York.
The 2017 schedule begins with four straight road games for the Terriers, starting at Providence on Feb. 4. They will then head to UMass Lowell (Feb. 11) and Hartford (Feb. 18) before opening the Patriot League portion of their schedule at Navy on Feb. 25. The Terriers defeated the Mids, 10-9, in a double-overtime thriller at Nickerson Field last year.
BU will finally play in front of a home crowd on Tuesday, Feb. 28, when the Terriers welcome Bryant to Nickerson Field. On Saturday, March 4, Air Force flies into Boston, before BU heads to Colgate on March 11.
A stretch of three straight home games commences when BU hosts Bucknell on March 18. After a Tuesday night contest with crosstown rival Harvard (March 21), the Terriers will host Lafayette on March 25.
April will feature four games against Patriot League playoff teams, beginning with road clashes at Lehigh (April 1) and Army West Point (April 8). Loyola will trek to Boston on April 15 before the traditional Turnpike Trophy tilt with Holy Cross on Friday, April 21, to close the regular-season slate.
The Patriot League postseason will begin on April 25 with the quarterfinal round before the regular-season champion hosts the semifinals and championship game on April 28 and 30. The Terriers will then face Duke for the fourth straight year on Sunday, May 7.
