BOSTON - For the 14th time in its 24-year history, the Boston University women's soccer will compete in the NCAA Tournament, as it takes on No. 19 LSU in a First Round matchup on Sunday, Nov. 11. First kick from LSU Soccer Stadium is scheduled for 2 p.m. EST and can be seen live on SEC Network Plus.
RETURN TO THE DANCE
- BU is making its first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2015, when it advanced to the Second Round after a 2-1 upset over St. Johns.
- BU made 10 appearances, including seven straight from 2005 to 2011, in the NCAA tournament as a member of the America East.
- This is the Terriers' fourth NCAA trip as a member of the Patriot League after having won the their fourth league title in six seasons Nov. 4 in a 1-0 shutout over Lehigh.
- BU is 5-13 all-time in the NCAAs.
- The Terriers' first-ever postseason victory occurred in their first-ever NCAA appearance, winning the first round of the 2000 tournament against Holy Cross, 1-0.
TITLE CITY
- The Terriers captured their fourth Patriot League championship, and first since 2015, after defeating Lehigh 1-0 at home Nov. 4.
- Anna Heilferty, the Patriot League Tournament MVP, headed in the game-winning feed on a cross from Kelly Harris in the 73rd minute.
- Chelsea Churchill, Shannon Keefe, and McKenna Kennedy joined Heilferty on the All-Patriot League Tournament Team.
- Keefe was instrumental in the semifinal round against Army West Point, powering the offense with her first career brace en route to a 3-0 shutout.
- The title marked the 10th time BU has won a conference championship on Nickerson Field.
- With the win BU improved to 9-2 all-time in the Patriot League Tournament.
- The Terriers captured the league title in each of its first three seasons as a member of the Patriot League.
DEFENDING THE HOME TURF
- BU has gone unbeaten in 50 straight home conference games.
- The streak, which dates back to 2007, is the longest undefeated in home conference games active streak in the NCAA.
LEADER OF THE PACK
- Head Coach Nancy Feldman has been at the helm of the program since its inception in 1995.
- Following BU's victory in the Patriot League title game, Feldman became the 20th women's soccer coach in NCAA history to reach 400 career wins.
- Feldman has guided BU to 14 NCAA Tournament appearances, 13 conference regular season titles, and 13 conference tournament titles.
- Additionally, she has been an 11-time conference coach of the year.
- In 31 seasons as a head coach, Feldman owns a career record of 400-168-56.
- Feldman has coached eight All-Americans and 11 former student-athletes have been drafted or played in a professional soccer league.
- The Terriers have won at least 10 regular-season games in 22 of her 24 seasons.
- Under Feldman, the Terriers have boasted 101 All-Conference honorees in the last 10 years and 45 All-Region honorees in the last 15 years.
PRESSURE POINT
- The Terriers outlasted Colgate, 1-0, in the regular season finale to edge the Raiders in the league standings by one point, allowing the Terriers to host the conference tournament.
- Hannah Wilcox delivered the game-winning goal in the 78th minute, securing BU's 13th regular season conference title.
SETTING THE SCORE
- BU posted an undefeated record in Patriot League games for the second time in program history with a 7-0-2 record.
- In its 23 seasons competing within a conference, BU has posted nine undefeated regular seasons.
- Of the 31 conferences in the NCAA, BU was one of 10 teams to post an undefeated record in league games.
- BU has not lost a game since Sept. 13, when it fell at West Virginia.
ALL-PATRIOT LEAGUE
- Head coach Nancy Feldman and Taylor Kofton took home a pair of Patriot League major awards, as Feldman was honored as the Coach of the Year, while Kofton was named the league's Rookie of the Year.
- Anna Heilferty and Dorrie Varley-Barrett each earned a spot on the First Time, Chelsea Churchill and Libby Closson were named to the Second Team, and Kofton was recognized on the Third Team.
- Feldman collected her 11th career conference coach of the year honors.
- In six years as a member of the Patriot League, BU has had four student-athletes named the Rookie of the Year.
PATRIOT LEAGUE DOMINANCE
- BU has dominated the Patriot League since entering the league in 2013, amassing a 43-5-6 record in regular season conference games.
- Including the postseason, the Terriers are 42-7-6 against Patriot League opponents.
- The Terriers have never allowed more than two goals in a single game against a Patriot League opponent.

- Anna Heilferty leads the team in goals (6), assists (6), and points (18).
- Heilferty has posted at least one point in seven of the last 12 games.

- All nine of BU's wins against conference opponents have been via shutout.
- This marks the second straight season BU has shut out seven Patriot League opponents.
- Over its six years in the Patriot League, the Terriers have 37 shutouts against conference opponents, posting at least five each season.
DUAL THREATS
- Amanda Fay and Morgan Messner have split time in net this season, with Fay making 11 starts to Messner's 10.
- Messner was the lone goalkeeper in the league to not allow a goal during conference play.
- Messner holds the stats edge in goals against average (0.76) and save percentage (0.814), though Fay has seen more time in net with 1021:06 minutes.
SCOUTING LSU
- LSU is coming off its first SEC Tournament championship after defeating Arkansas on penalty kicks with a 4-1 outcome.
- Entering the tournament as the seventh seed, the Tigers became the first team since 2012 to play in the first round and go on to win the conference title.
- Riding a six-game unbeaten streak, two of its last games have been decided in penalty kicks, while its four wins have been one-goal games.
- Alex Thomas and Adrienne Richardson are tied for the team lead in goals (7), while Thomas holds the lead in points (18).
- Richardson follows with 16 points, while Abbey Newton and Mariena Cutura own 11 points apiece.
- Caroline Brockmeier has started all 22 games in net, posting a 0.98 goals against average to go with a .811 save percentage.
- Over 14 seasons at the helm, head coach Brian Lee has guided the Tigers to six NCAA Tournament appearances and owns a career record of 287-187-54 over 24 seasons as a collegiate head coach.
THE SERIES
- This will mark BU's first matchup against LSU.
- The lone SEC opponent BU has squared off with has been South Carolina, as the Terriers have gone 0-3-1 against the Gamecocks.
