Garber, Ley Listed Among Nation's Best Freshmen

BALTIMORE - Inside Lacrosse recognized Boston University men's lacrosse newcomers Matt Garber and Timmy Ley as two of the best incoming freshmen in the publication's 2018 Recruiting Issue.
Garber is the No. 15 freshman goalie in the nation according to Inside Lacrosse. Additionally, Garber is the number one freshman goalie in the Patriot League. He arrives at BU after a stellar four-year career at Staples High School. Last season, Garber made 203 saves in 17 games and recorded a school-record .660 save percentage.
Ley is the fifth-best incoming attackman among Patriot League schools and is No. 34 overall in this year's group of freshmen. Ley played varsity lacrosse at Massapequa High School where he was an all-county selection during his senior season.
This is the second year in a row that the Terriers have boasted two of the top freshmen in the country at their respective positions. One of those freshmen, Chris Gray, went on to be chosen as Patriot League Rookie of the Year in addition to All-America accolades.
