Terriers Travel to Brown for Final Non-Conference Tilt Wednesday Afternoon

BOSTON – Before battling Bucknell for the right to host next week's Patriot League tournament, the Boston University softball team will visit Brown on Wednesday afternoon with the final non-conference game of the regular season set to begin at 4 p.m.
The Terriers (32-17) are on a 12-game win streak after sweeping Army West Point at home over the weekend, while the Bears (11-24) are looking to bounce back from a home weekend series loss to Dartmouth.TERRIER TIDBITS
- Following Sunday's 11-6 come-from-behind win over Army, BU wrapped up the home slate with a perfect home record (15-0) for the second time in program history and first since 2001 (18-0).
- Nine of BU's 12 wins during the current win streak occurred at home, and the other three wins came at Lafayette.
- During the win streak, the Terriers are batting .354 and are holding opponents to .180 while posting a 32-12 advantage in extra-base hits.
- Sophomore Jen Horita (.275) is hitting .467 with freshman Nicole Amodio (.259) close behind at .417 ... Both Amodio and senior Alexa Ponce (.266) have combined for 23 RBIs during the streak.
- Overall, senior Emily Morrow is hitting a team-high .322 with 24 RBIs and 21 runs scored, while senior Alex Heinen (.304) owns a team-high eeight homers and 33 runs scored ... Freshman Aliyah Huerta-Leipner (.282) has reached home plate 35 times while adding seven homers and 26 RBIs.
- In the circle, sophomore Ali DuBois (21-8, 1.45 ERA) has tallied 176 strikeouts in 179.0 innings while holding opponents to .209 ... Freshman Emily Gant (10-7, 1.52 ERA) owns 138 strikeouts in 119.2 innings and has allowed just one run over the last 32 innings.
- The Bears are 3-8 at home this season after dropping two games to Dartmouth by a combined score of 5-1 and earning a 6-4 win to avoid the sweep ... They claimed the other two wins against Yale and went 0-2 in non-conference action with losses to both Providence (6-0) and Bryant (6-1).
- Brown is 1-2 this season against the Patriot League with 11-3 win over Lafayette and losses to both Bucknell (9-0) and Colgate (2-1).
- The Bears are batting .234 and holding teams to .299 with a 15-15 tie in homers.
- Madi Cranford is batting a team-high .387 with four homers, six doubles and 14 RBIs, while Cat Seitz (.315) owns a team-high six homers, 12 doubles and 17 RBIs.
- Lauren Innerst (5-9, 2.80 ERA) owns 66 strikeouts in 97.2 innings while holding teams to .295 ... Emily Waters (4-11, 4.26 ERA) and Grace Ladd (2-4, 5.04 ERA) have combined for 26 starts.
- The Terriers are 16-11-1 all-time against Brown in a series dating back to 1988 and are 16-1-1 since 1993.
- BU earned a 7-3 victory at Brown in 2016 in the first meeting between the two programs since the Terriers claimed a 4-1 home win in 2006.
- In 2005, the Bears recorded a 6-2 win and 3-3 tie in Providence.
