TERRIER TIDBITS
- BU last played a regular-season game on Dec. 10, skating to a 3-3 tie with Boston College at Agganis Arena.
- Graduate student Max Kaufman tallied two goals against BC, including the game-tying marker in the third period.
- Kaufman has tallied four goals in the last three games, with three of those four strikes coming in either the third period or overtime.
- Junior defenseman Domenick Fensore also found the back of the net against BC.
- He leads the Terriers in both assists (11) and points (14) and enters Friday on a five-game point streak.
- Freshman Ty Gallagher recorded his second three-assist game of the season against the Eagles en route to being named Hockey East Defender of the Week on Dec. 13.
- BU has required overtime in six of its last eight games, including in its last tilt against Boston College on Dec. 10.
- The Terriers are 2-1-3 in those contests, with both OT wins coming on the road.
SERIES HISTORY
- BU and Brown have faced off 82 times, most recently on Jan. 8, 2020, when the Terriers earned a 3-2 overtime win at Agganis Arena.
- Wilmer Skoog scored the OT winner that night, which was his collegiate debut.
- Prior to that meeting, the two schools had not played one another since the 2010-11 campaign.
- Friday will be the Terriers' first trip to Meehan Auditorium since Dec. 8, 1993, when they earned a 2-1 win over the Bears.
- Current BU Director of Operations Doug Friedman scored the eventual game-winner while current Terrier associate head coach Jay Pandolfo assisted on the game's opening goal.
SCOUTING THE BEARS
- Like BU, Brown last played a regular-season game on Dec. 10, as the Bears suffered a 4-3 setback at Yale.
- The Bears are 2-2 in their last four games, earning shutout wins at home over Harvard and Dartmouth on Dec. 3 and 4 before losing at Boston College, 5-2, on Dec. 7.
- Senior Justin Jallen leads the Bears in both assists (5) and points (8).
- Jallen has notched three goals and three assists in December.
- Six Bears are tied for second with five points apiece, including senior Michael Maloney, who has tallied a team-best four goals this season.
- Freshman Mathieu Caron has started eight of the 10 games in which he has appeared, posting a .911 save percentage and a 3.10 goals-against average.
- Graduate student Luke Kania has started in four of the six games in which he has appeared, recording a .913 save percentage and a 3.25 goals-against average.
- BU will open 2022 with two games against Arizona State at Agganis Arena on Jan. 7 and 8.
