The No. 3 Boston University men's ice hockey team will continue its 103rd season on Saturday night when the Terriers host Union at Agganis Arena. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m.
Saturday's contest will be the second game in the first of five doubleheaders with the women's hockey team at Agganis. The women will welcome No. 12 Northeastern at 3 p.m.

TERRIER TIDBITS
- BU began its 2024-25 campaign with a 5-2 home win over Holy Cross last Saturday.
- Junior Ryan Greene scored two goals and assisted on a third while his linemates, junior Quinn Hutson and sophomore Shane Lachance, each collected a career-best three assists.
- Freshmen Cole Eiserman, Cole Hutson and Alex Zetterberg all scored a goal in their collegiate debuts, marking the third straight year that at least one freshman has lit the lamp in the Terriers' season opener.
- BU was the only team in the NCAA to have three rookies notch a goal this past weekend.
- Senior goaltender Mathieu Caron made 29 saves to earn the win on Saturday.
- Caron enters the weekend second among active Division I goaltenders with 2,401 saves.
- Sophomore Tom Willander and senior Jack Hughes each recorded one assist on Saturday.
- Sophomores Mick Frechette and Aiden Celebrini led BU with four blocked shots apiece against Holy Cross.
SERIES HISTORY WITH UNION
- BU is 3-2-1 all-time against Union, including a 7-3 win in Schenectady on Oct. 5, 2019.
- Union last visited Agganis on Sept. 30, 2017, with BU earning a 4-1 win.
- The Terriers and Garnet Chargers skated to a 3-3 tie in their first-ever meeting on Jan. 3, 2015, at Agganis.
- BU also recorded a 5-4 overtime victory over Union at Agganis on Jan. 5, 2017.
SCOUTING THE GARNET CHARGERS
- Saturday will be Union's second game of the weekend, as the Garnet Chargers will first visit Stonehill on Friday night.
- Union played twice at home last weekend, suffering a 4-1 setback in an exhibition against Providence before securing a 4-3 overtime win over Army West Point on Sunday in the Garnet Chargers' regular-season opener.
- Junior John Prokop scored the winner just 58 seconds into the extra frame.
- Prokop (1g, 1a) and freshman Ben Muthersbaugh (2a) led Union with two points apiece while junior Nate Hanley, freshman Connor Smith and junior Carter Korpi all lit the lamp.
- Korpi's goal was shorthanded.
- Seven different Garnet Chargers recorded an assist on Sunday.
- Junior goaltender Kyle Chauvette, who started 36 games as a sophomore, made 15 saves on Sunday to earn the win.
