DeLaMater put BU on the scoreboard first at 38:40, and the Leopards' Roy Biegon headed in the equalizer at 86:41.

- Junior John Roman sent a shot wide in the 19th minute off another BU corner.
- The Leopards' Griffin Huff stopped shots from junior Damola Salami at 20:51 and senior Kevin Torres at 26:18 to keep the game scoreless.
- Huff added another save at 35:40 on Salami's shot attempt but was unable to get a finger on DeLaMater's curling free kick directed from just outside the box to the far post at 38:40.
- Coming up empty with its fourth corner in the final seconds of the first half, BU entered the locker room ahead, 1-0.
- The game intensified in the second half with a combined six yellow cards after none were handed out during the first 45 minutes of action.
- The Terriers were able to successfully defend against consecutive Lafayette corners in the 47th minute.
- Graduate student Andrew Wike earned his first save at 61:23, as the teams exchanged strong runs at each other's backline for much of the second half.
- BU cleared multiple long throw-ins from Lafayette's Jackson Vajda into the box, but the Leopards were able to net the equalizer off Biegon's header that was set up by a cross from Carter Houlihan in the 87th minute.
- Salami sent the game's last shot in the final minute wide of the goal for the draw.
- DeLaMater now owns the team lead with six points (2g, 2a), as the only Terrier to have earned multiple goals and assists this season.
- DeLaMater's the third to record multiple goals, joining Salami and sophomore Andrea Di Blasio.
- Wike had one save, while Huff earned four for the Leopards.
- BU finished with a 12-10 advantage in shots with the teams ending in a 5-5 tie for corners.

- The Terriers will remain home and next host the final non-conference opponent of the regular season in Ivy League rival, Harvard, on Tuesday (Oct. 8) at 7 p.m.
- BU and the Crimson battled to a 1-1 draw last season in Allston.
- Harvard won the last meeting at Nickerson Field, 1-0, in 2022.
