AMESBURY, Mass. - Freshman Cole Eiserman of the Boston University men's ice hockey team was named Hockey East Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday.
Eiserman recorded a point in each game at then-No. 7 Maine this past weekend, including the opening goal in Saturday's 2-2 tie. Eiserman also assisted on Friday's opening goal. He generated seven shots on goal during the two games and was a plus-1 for the weekend.
The reigning Hockey East Rookie of the Month has recorded a point in eight of his first 10 collegiate games. He leads all league rookies and is tied for second among all Hockey East skaters with seven goals. Eiserman is also tied for first among Hockey East freshmen with 11 points. Only one NCAA rookie has scored more goals than Eiserman, who has lit the lamp in six different games this year.
BU will welcome Merrimack to Agganis Arena on Friday (Nov. 22) at 7 p.m.
