August 22, 2024

BOSTON - The Boston University men's and women's lacrosse programs have named Dylan Amonte as their new director of operations, head coaches Ryan Polley and Lauren Morton announced on Thursday.

Amonte arrives at BU after a stellar five-year career at Northwestern, where she won a national title in 2023. Amonte helped lead the Wildcats to four straight national semifinals, including back-to-back trips to the championship game (2023, 2024). She set career highs with 43 goals and 51 points in 2024 after recording 39 points (30g, 9a) in 2023. The talented attacker totaled 106 goals and 26 assists for 132 points in 85 career games. In addition to her on-field success, Amonte was a three-time Academic All-Big Ten selection and earned Big Ten Distinguished Scholar accolades.

"We're excited to welcome Dylan to our programs," Polley and Morton said. "She has an unquestioned passion for the sport and will bring a positive mindset and strong work ethic to this position. Our coaches, staff and student-athletes will all benefit from Dylan's addition to the Terrier lacrosse family."

Amonte is not the only member of her family at BU, as her brother Tristan is a senior on the men's ice hockey team and her sister, Izabella, is a sophomore on the women's lacrosse team. Her brother, Ty, also played hockey at BU (2017-22) while her father, Tony, played at BU for two years and went on to become a five-time NHL All-Star, playing in 1,174 games over 16 seasons.

A native of Norwell, Mass., Amonte earned her bachelor's degree in communication studies in 2023.
