BOSTON – The Boston University women's ice hockey team will take the ice when it hosts Concordia for an exhibition contest on Friday (Sept. 26). Game time is set for 6 p.m. and admission is free to the public.
BU faced Concordia in an exhibition game at the beginning of last season. The Stingers took an early 1-0 lead in the game before the Terriers scored four unanswered goals through the second and third periods to post a 4-1 win. Five returners were responsible for points in that game with goals from senior Luisa Welcke, sophomore Lola Reid and senior Riley Walsh and assists from Walsh, seniors Lilli Welcke and Sydney Healey.
The Terriers have 10 newcomers, including seven freshmen, to complete its 24-player roster this season. Head coach Tara Watchorn enters her third season at the helm as BU heads into the year as the defending Hockey East champions.
BU will play the bulk of its season in Walter Brown Arena after the rink was renovated last year. The Terriers will play one game at Agganis Arena in November when they host Boston College.
The Terriers officially open their 2025-26 season on Friday, Oct. 3, when they host Minnesota at 6 p.m.
