TERRIER TIDBITS
- The Terriers opened up the 2026 season with a 16-7 win over New Hampshire on Friday (Feb. 6).
- Scoring the first goal of year for BU was junior Tessa Geddes, who would finish with four goals in the opener.
- The Terriers would head into the half up 7-4, with Geddes completing a first-half hat trick.
- BU's offensive success continued in the second half, as it outscored UNH 9-3 and had six fourth-quarter goals.
- Geddes finished with four goals and following her was junior Alex Cutone, who tallied three goals.
- Two freshmen scored first career goals for the Terriers: Avery Cutair and Makenzie McDevitt.
- Junior Natalie Aiosa was named Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week after stopping 13 shots on 20 shots faced.
- Her save percentage of .650 is second-highest among NCAA goalkeepers who saw at least 10 shots during the opening weekend.
- Geddes earned a Patriot League Honorable Mention as well.
- The Skyhawks finished 11-7 in 2025 and went 8-1 in NEC play, losing in the NEC Championship game to LIU.
- Top scorer Natalie Couto (44g, 16a) returns and so does Grace Murphy, who tallied 50 points (39g, 11a) in just 11 games.
- Starting netminder Nina Tremonte, who sported a .440 save percentage and an 11.24 GAA in 2025, is also back.
- The Terriers defeated Stonehill last season, winning 14-6 in Boston.
- Izzy Amonte, Hannah Tillier and Elle Stevenson all had hat tricks in the win, while Natalie Aiosa stopped 12-of-18 shots for the win.
- BU is 2-0 against the Skyhawks all-time, with the first matchup coming in 2024.
