Terriers Trek to UNH Friday to Begin Home-and-Home Series

The Boston University men's ice hockey team will continue its 104th season on Monday night when the Terriers face New Hampshire in a home-and-home series that begins Friday in Durham. Puck drop at Whittemore Center is set for 7 p.m., with the teams concluding the weekend set at Agganis Arena at 6 p.m.
Both games will be streamed on ESPN+, with an audio-only broadcast of both tilts located here.
TERRIER TIDBITS
- BU is looking to bounce back following a 6-2 loss to Boston College in Monday's Beanpot final.
- Sophomores Brandon Svoboda and Cole Eiserman both scored on Monday.
- Eiserman has lit the lamp in each of the last two games and leads BU with 12 goals this season.
- Sophomore Sascha Boumedienne is the reigning Hockey East Defender of the Week.
- He notched two points last week, including an assist on freshman Ryder Ritchie's overtime goal against Maine on Feb. 6.
- More importantly, Boumedienne blocked nine shots on goal in that Maine game.
- Impressively, junior captain Gavin McCarthy also recorded nine blocked shots against the Black Bears.
- Freshman Tynan Lawrence notched an assist on Eiserman's goal Monday night.
- Lawrence has been outstanding at the faceoff dot in his first 11 games as a Terrier, winning 54.4% of his draws.
HISTORY WITH NEW HAMPSHIRE
- The Terriers and Wildcats have played 196 times since the 1924-25 season, and BU holds a decided advantage, 122-53-21 (.676).
- That includes a 17-8-4 (.655) record at Agganis Arena.
- BU went 3-0-0 against UNH last year and has won five straight games against the Wildcats.
- The Terriers are 19-1-2 in their last 22 contests against the Wildcats.
SCOUTING THE WILDCATS
- After winning five straight games to close out 2025, New Hampshire has won one game since the start of 2026, a 3-2 victory over Colgate on Jan. 4.
- The Wildcats are 1-7-1 in their last nine games.
- Senior Morgan Winters leads UNH in both goals (9) and points (19).
- Junior Nick Ring is second on the squad with 18 points thanks to a team-best 12 assists.
- Senior goaltender Kyle Chauvette is 10-13-1 in 25 appearances this season.
- He owns a 2.68 goals-against average and an ,897 save percentage.
