HOW IT HAPPENED
- Geddes scored the first goal of BU's season on a free position with 11:47 left in the first quarter.
- Feeney was the next scorer, potting her free position shot just 33 seconds later.
- Cutair got her first career goal as Cotraro dished the ball to her behind the UNH cage and she turned around and fired it over the goalkeeper, making it 3-0 with 6:37 left in the first.
- After the Wildcats scored with 5:16 remaining, Geddes added her second goal and Cutone scored her first free position goal to make it 5-1 entering the second quarter.
- The Terrier offense stagnated a tiny bit, with only Geddes and Amonte scoring once each in the second. Geddes used an individual effort to break down the defense and complete her hat trick, while Amonte scored off a free position.
- New Hampshire scored a minute into the second quarter and with 45 seconds remaining, and BU had a 7-3 lead at the half.
- Feeney netted the first Terrier goal of the second half before the Wildcats scored with 11:48 remaining in the third.
- With 10:03 left in the quarter, Leah Hodgins made a cut to the goal and Cutair found her from behind the net, creating an easy opportunity for the Terriers that was cashed in.
- The Wildcats once again answered with a player-up goal, cutting the BU lead to 9-5 with 8:18 left.
- Cutone tallied her second goal of the day off a free position to finish off the third quarter for BU and give the Terriers a 10-5 lead entering the final frame.
- Geddes tallied another goal 23 seconds into the fourth, which was matched by the Wildcats with 12:48 remaining.
- BU went on to score four straight goals, beginning with a beautiful Cutone goal that she snuck between the goalkeeper's legs to make it 12-6 with 12:03 left.
- Then McDevitt scored her first collegiate goal with 8:01 remaining.
- Just 21 seconds later, Cotraro and Walsh ran a give-and-go that left Cotraro with the ball wide open in front of the goal, where she buried her shot.
- Cotraro then scored again just 42 seconds after her first goal, this time on a free position.
- UNH scored with 3:49 to play, but then the Terriers added a goal from Walsh on a free position to ice the game with 57 seconds left.
- BU outdrew the Wildcats, 18-6.
- Geddes' four goals ties her career high and Cutone's three goals ties her career high.
- BU has now scored 16 or more goals in three of the past four season openers.
- The Terriers are now 30-15 vs. UNH, all-time, and have won seven of the past eight matchups.
- Aiosa's 13 saves are the most she's made since the last time she played New Hampshire (March 12, 2025), when she stopped 15 shots.
- The Terriers next will travel to Stonehill for a matchup with the Skyhawks on Wednesday, Feb. 11 at 3 p.m.
