Jack Rowlett joined the Boston University men's lacrosse program as an assistant coach in July 2023 and completed his first season on the staff in 2024.

Rowlett coached a pair of All-Americans during his debut season on the BU sideline, as Roy Meyer earned the honor for a third straight year while Patrick Morrison garnered All-America accolades for the first time.

Rowlett arrived at BU after spending the past three seasons as a volunteer assistant with Georgetown, helping the Hoyas reach three straight NCAA Tournaments. Overseeing Georgetown’s face-off unit, he guided two-time First Team All-BIG EAST honoree and 2021 All-American honoree James Reilly to a school-records 693 career faceoff wins. He was also part of the coaching staff that coached the Hoyas to the top scoring defense in the country in 2022, allowing just 8.18 goals per game.

As four-year standout at North Carolina, Rowlett started 17 games as a freshman during North Carolina’s 2016 national championship season and was a two-time All-American with the Tar Heels. Rowlett played in 62 games with UNC, collecting 140 ground balls and 59 caused turnovers to go with 14 goals and a pair of assists.

Rowlett is currently one of the top close defenders in the Premier Lacrosse League and helped lead the Chaos to the PLL Championship in 2021. He is a two-time PLL Defensive Player of the Year Finalist and was a 2019 PLL Rookie of the Year Finalist as well. Drafted by the Chaos seventh overall in the inaugural PLL Draft, he has played his entire professional career with the club.

Most recently, Rowlett won gold with the U.S. Men’s National Team at the 2023 World Lacrosse Championship. Rowlett was second on the squad with seven caused turnovers and led all American defenders with 12 ground balls. Team USA had the second-stingiest defense at the tournament, allowing just 4.01 goals per game.
