
Fifth-Ranked Terriers to Host Northeastern on Tuesday Night

BOSTON - The fifth-ranked Boston University women's ice hockey team (12-2-3, 4-1-3 HEA) will host crosstown rival Northeastern (10-3-4, 3-2-3 HEA) on Tuesday (Dec. 7) at Walter Brown Arena. Opening faceoff is set at 7 p.m.
The matchup marks the Terriers' last Hockey East contest of the fall semester as BU will travel to Harvard on Friday (Dec. 10) for its final game of the calendar year.
SCOUTING THE HUSKIES
• Northeastern is tied with Providence for third place in Hockey East with nine points.
• Last weekend, the Huskies shut out New Hampshire, 4-0. Rachel Llanes scored twice for Northeastern, while Julia Marty and Katie MacSorley also added goals. Florence Schelling made 22 saves for the whitewash.
• Sophomore Rachel Llanes (8g, 6a) and freshman Katie MacSorley (11g, 3a) pace the squad with 14 points each.
• Senior Julia Marty is the team's top blueliner with two goals and eight assists.
• Junior Florence Schelling is 9-3-4 on the season with a .934 save percentage, 1.70 goals-against average and three shutouts.
ALL-TIME VS. NORTHEASTERN
• The Terriers are 13-3-4 all-time against the Huskies, including 5-2-1 at Walter Brown Arena.
• BU holds a 6-1-2 mark at Matthews Arena and is 2-0-1 on neutral ice.
LAST SEASON VS. THE HUSKIES
• BU and Northeastern played four times during the 2009-10 season, with the Terriers going 1-0-3 overall and 0-0-1 at Walter Brown Arena.
• The Terriers lone win (2-1) came on Feb. 14 at Matthews Arena.
BEST VS. THE HUSKIES
• Senior Lauren Cherewyk has recorded nine points (5g, 4a) against Northeastern in her career. She is followed by junior Jenelle Kohanchuk (3g, 4a) and sophomore Jill Cardella (1g, 5a).
• Senior Holly Lorms (3g, 1a) and junior Tara Watchorn (1g, 3a) have recorded four points each, while senior Jillian Kirchner (1g, 2a) and junior Kasey Boucher (3a) have tallied three points each.
FINISHING STRONG
• After the first period, the women's ice hockey team has outscored its opponents by a 47-17 margin.
• The Terriers are also 8-0-0 when leading after the first frame.
CLOSING IN ON 100
• Head coach Brian Durocher -- the only head coach in program history -- and the women's ice hockey team are seven victories away from 100.
LAST TIME OUT
• The Terriers blanked UConn, 4-0, for their second straight Hockey East road shutout.
• Juniors Jenn Wakefield (2g, 1a) and Tara Watchorn recorded three points each, while freshman Marie-Philip Poulin (1g, 1a) also netted a multi-point game.
• Freshman Kerrin Sperry turned aside 12 shots for her second shutout of the season.
