Lefort Named Hockey East Co-Rookie of the Week

WAKEFIELD, Mass. - Freshman Sarah Lefort of the No. 3 Boston University women's ice hockey team was named Hockey East Rookie of the Week, the league office announced on Monday.
This is the third time that Lefort has won the award this season, as she was also recognized on Oct. 8 and Oct. 15. The Terriers were also honored as Team of the Week for the second straight week.
Lefort notched two goals on Saturday afternoon to help pace BU past Robert Morris, 3-0. The Ormstown, Que., native now has eight goals and one assist for nine points this year. She is the top-scoring rookie in the conference and is second in the league in goals. Lefort is also tied for the national lead in game-winning goals with three.
BU will be back in action on Wednesday night when the Terriers host No. 6 Boston College at Walter Brown Arena. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m., with BU All-Access airing live from the arena lobby beginning at 6 p.m.
