BOSTON - The Boston University men's lacrosse team and head coach Ryan Polley have announced the Terriers' 2014 fall schedule.
BU will hold its first practice of the fall on Sept. 18. The Terriers will return 31 letter winners from last year's inaugural team. Those players will join 16 freshmen and three transfers as part of a 50-player roster.
As part of the program's Alumni Weekend, the Terriers will host their Alumni Game on Oct. 18 at New Balance Field (11 a.m.). The next day, BU will welcome Team Israel to Nickerson Field (1 p.m.). The Israelis placed seventh at the FIL World Lacrosse Championships earlier this summer, finishing the tournament with a record of 6-2. This will be the second fall in a row in which the Terriers have hosted a national team; BU bested England, 11-8, in 2013.
The Terriers will conclude their fall slate on Oct. 26 when they play in the Christian Prince Tournament hosted by Yale. BU will face the host Bulldogs as well as Hartford.
