BOSTON – The Boston University men’s lacrosse team is excited to announce its 2014 Alumni Weekend, which will take place Oct. 17-19, culminating in the Terriers’ exhibition against Team Israel at Nickerson Field.
The weekend kicks off with the BU Men’s Lacrosse Golf Outing at River Bend Country Club in West Bridgewater, Mass. The first tee time is slated for 11 a.m. Later that evening, the program will hold its kickoff dinner at the Francis D. Burke Club Room in Agganis Arena. That will take place at 7 p.m.
On Saturday morning, the team will unveil its new locker room which has been under construction this summer. After the Alumni Game on New Balance Field at 11 p.m., the team will welcome players, parents and alumni for a barbeque on New Balance Field.
BU will host its second international squad in as many years on Sunday when it welcomes Team Israel to Nickerson Field at 2 p.m. The Terriers defeated Team England, 11-8, last season in the program’s first-ever exhibition at Nickerson Field. Prior to the exhibition against Israel, the team will host a free youth clinic from 12-1:30 p.m. Those interested in the clinic can email mlax@bu.edu for more information.
