
Terriers Host Bucknell on Saturday

The Boston University men's lacrosse team will conclude a brief two-game homestand on Saturday afternoon when the Terriers welcome Bucknell to Nickerson Field. Game time is set for 3 p.m.
BU (5-2, 2-1 PL) is on a three-game win streak entering Saturday, having averaged 16.67 goals per game in the trio of triumphs. The Terriers boast the ninth-ranked offense in the nation overall at 13.83 goals per game. BU has also been stellar on the defensive end, having allowed a mere 8.29 goals per game, which ranks 11th in the NCAA. The Terrier offense will go against a Bucknell (6-2, 3-1 PL) defense that ranks 10th in the NCAA (8.25 goals allowed per game).
A trio of sophomores has been instrumental during the Terriers' three-game win streak, beginning with faceoff specialist Sam Talkow. The Delray Beach, Florida, native ranks fifth in the nation in faceoff percentage (.680) and leads everyone among the top 20 in faceoff percentage with seven goals this season. Adam Schaal has also been terrific, having tallied nine points (7g, 2a) over the last two tilts. He has 12 goals and nine assists for 21 points in seven starts.
Sophomore Pat Myers made his 2015 debut on Feb. 28 at Vermont and picked up where he left off last season. After recording an assist in each of his first two games, Myers collected a career-high five points last Saturday in a 17-8 win over Lafayette. He matched career bests in goals (3) and assists (2) during that victory.
Bucknell enters Saturday at 6-2 overall after a 10-9 overtime win at No. 12 and previously unbeaten Brown on Tuesday. Senior Ryan Joseph leads the team with 13 goals and is second in points with 21 while classmate David Dickson is atop the team leaderboard in assists with 13 and third in points (20). Freshman Will Sands has a team-best 23 points thanks to 11 goals and 12 assists.
Senior Sam Grinberg made a point-blank save in overtime at Brown as part of the win. Grinberg enters Saturday with a 5-2 record and owns a .565 save percentage and an 8.15 goals-against average.
Following Saturday's showdown, the Terriers will travel to Navy for one of their final two Patriot League road games of the season on March 28.
