GOAL-BY-GOAL

  • Davis opened the scoring with a power-play marker 15:09 into the first period. Rodgers cycled the puck to senior Sarah Steele at the top of the zone. Stationed in front of the net, Davis deftly redirected Steele's shot past Katie Burt (33 saves).
  • BC tied the game at the 11:50 mark of the second stanza, but Davis notched her second goal of the game just 17 seconds later.
  • Freshman Natasza Tarnowski skated down the right wing and threw a pass to the front of the net. Davis rushed to the right post and tipped the puck into the top corner.
  • The Eagles evened the score at the end of a power-play chance with 1:32 to play in the middle frame.
  • Rodgers put BU ahead again at the 3:27 mark of the third period. Senior co-captain Alexis Crossley walked into the right circle and fired a shot on goal. Graduate student Mary Parker tried to knock home the rebound, but her shot was saved. Rodgers wasn't denied, however, on her follow-up chance at the doorstep.
  • BC responded with two goals in a span of 2:05 to take the lead, and with the Terrier net empty, added a late goal to secure the result.

  • Tarnowski's assist was the first of her collegiate career.

  • Junior Erin O'Neil was sharp between the pipes for BU, making 34 saves.

  • The Eagles entered Friday with the top-ranked power play in the country (31.2 percent), but BU held BC to just one goal on six chances.
