Men's Lacrosse Enjoys Successful Kickoff Weekend
October 30, 2017 | Men's Lacrosse
BOSTON - The Boston University men's lacrosse program held its annual Kickoff Weekend this past weekend, with events both on and off campus.
The schedule of events began on Thursday when the Terriers welcomed four distinguished speakers for the team's first Career Development Night of the year. Kyle Lange ('14) of Dell Technologies, Nick Bontaites ('95) of Connelly Partners, John J. Boyle III (Vice Chair, Cushman & Wakefield) and Scott W. Stucky (Chief Judge, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces) all offered their advice and perspective on life after college.
The weather was terrific for Friday morning's golf outing at Kernwood Country Club in Salem. The day continued with an alumni gathering prior to the men's ice hockey game against top-ranked Denver on Friday night.
Saturday's annual Alumni Game was the closest its ever been, with several members of the program's inaugural Class of 2017 suiting up for the first time as alumni. Despite their best efforts, the current group of Terriers earned the victory.
The weekend concluded with the awards banquet on Saturday night at the Francis D. Burke Club Room at Agganis Arena. Al Lattell ('08) was the keynote speaker, and the 2017 team award winners were honored for their impressive accomplishments in what was the program's best season to date.
