Jack Wilson and
Hayden Ruiz each tallied three points, but the No. 18/19 Boston University men's lacrosse team was edged by No. 12/14 Army West Point, 10-7, in a Patriot League semifinal game Friday night at Ridley Athletic Complex on the campus of Loyola Maryland.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Army held a 4-0 lead after the first quarter, but BU responded with three straight goals to start the second frame thanks to Ruiz, Wilson and senior Cal Dearth.
- The Terriers enjoyed a lengthy possession to try and tie the game but a Wilson shot was ruled a pass and Army got the ball.
- The Black Knights took advantage by scoring two straight goals to take a 6-3 lead.
- Dearth connected with Wilson, however, to cut the deficit to 6-4 at halftime.
- Army outscored the Terriers, 2-1, in the third quarter, with sophomore James Burr providing the lone Terrier goal with 11.1 seconds to play in the stanza.
- The Black Knights had a 9-5 lead before Wilson found Burr to get the lead back down to three.
- Ruiz then found senior Ryan Johnston on a man-up chance with a great pass which Johnston quickly caught and converted to cut the lead to 9-7.
- The Terriers went into a 10-man ride after losing the ensuing faceoff and forced a turnover, but the Terriers were unable to score and Army eventually scored into an empty net to seal the win.
GAME NOTES
- Wilson moved his point streak to 42 games with his two goals and an assist while Ruiz earned his three points with a goal and two helpers.
- Dearth finished with two points (1g, 1a) and also matched his career high with six ground balls. Dearth added a caused turnover as well.
- Burr finished with two goals and ended the season on a five-game run in which he notched 14 goals and three assists for 17 points.
- Senior Christian Carson-Banister made 10 saves.
- Senior Dominick Calisto caused two turnovers and gathered two ground balls while classmate Cam Pincus had three ground balls and a forced turnover.
- The Terriers went 18-of-20 in the clearing game while keeping the Black Knights to a 12-of-17 mark on clears.
