BOSTON - Returning to Nickerson Field following its opening win of the season, the Boston University women's soccer team will kick off a Sunday doubleheader with a 4 p.m. match against Hofstra.

Take Two

Sunday's contest marks the first of four doubleheaders at Nickerson Field this fall.
The men's team will take the field following the conclusion of the women's match with a scheduled 7 p.m. start time.

Last Time Out

BU earned a 2-1 comeback victory over cross-town rival Northeastern Thursday night in its home opener.
Down 0-1 just six minutes into play, Jesse Shreck and Julianna Chen each found the back of the net off set-piece goals during the first half to guide the Terriers to snap a four-game losing streak against the Huskies.

Setting Points

All four of the Terriers goals this season have come on set pieces. The scores have come on two corner kicks, with Erin Neville picking up an assist on each, one free kick and one penalty kick.

Senior Spotlight

Six of the 12 points the Terriers have combined for have been contributed by seniors. Neville and Shreck lead the class of 2018 with two points apiece, while Christina Wakefield and Alivya Wimmer have chipped in an assist.

New York, No Problem

BU is 34-7-4 all-time against opponents from The Empire State, owning the advantage in 10 of its 12 series against New York opponents.

Home Sweet Home

The Terriers have dominated on their home turf, posting a 166-36-19 all-time record.

Scouting The Pride

Pittsburgh delivered the game-winning goal in the 88th minute of Hofstra's season opener last Friday, 1-0, before Penn State rolled to a 3-0 victory on Sunday.
Three of Hofstra's top four goals scorers return from a season ago, led by seniors Kristen Desmond (6 goals, 2 assists) and Noriana Radwan (6 goals, 1 assist).
Head coach Simon Riddiough has guided The Pride to a winning record in each of his 12 seasons at the helm and has captured two CAA championships.

The Series

For the first time in the series dating back to 1995, Hofstra came away with a victory as it topped BU, 2-0, on its home turf last year.
BU still holds a commanding 9-1-1 lead in the series and has shutout The Pride in six matchups.
