Fay, Wilcox Collect Final Patriot League Weekly Honors

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - Following clinching the Patriot League regular season title, Boston University women's soccer defensive standouts Hannah Wilcox and Amanda Fay each earned Patriot League weekly honors, as announced by the conference Monday.

Wilcox was timely in scoring her first goal of the season in a decisive matchup against Colgate to determine the top overall seed in the upcoming conference tournament. In the 78th minute, the senior slotted the game-winning goal, guiding BU to a 1-0 shutout and the right to host the Patriot League Tournament for the first time since 2015.

Fay was equally pivotal in between the pipes, stopping four shots, including three in the second half. Fay closed out the regular season with BU's eighth shutout of the season, and seventh shutout against a Patriot League opponent.

The Terriers will open up the Patriot League Tournament on Friday, Nov. 2 at 4:30 p.m. against the lowest remaining seed from Wednesday's quarterfinal round.
