Hilburn Selected to USILA Senior All-Star Game
May 22, 2018 | Men's Lacrosse
Ryan Hilburn of the Boston University men's lacrosse team was selected to play in the USILA Senior All-Star Game, which will take place Friday, May 25, at Providence College.
Hilburn, who will suit up for the Division I/II North squad, is the fifth Terrier in the past two years to be recognized as a USILA Senior All-Star. He tallied 14 goals and recorded 16 ground balls in 17 games this season. Hilburn started the year by scoring a goal in each of the Terriers' first six games, including the game-tying goal with 7.8 seconds in regulation to force overtime against Providence in the season-opener, a contest the Terriers won.
A native of West Chester, Pennsylvania, Hilburn's best game of the year came in a must-win showdown with Army West Point on April 7. He notched a season-best three goals, including the game-winning strike with 29.5 seconds left to break a 7-7 deadlock. The win helped propel BU to its second consecutive postseason berth and second straight trip to the Patriot League semifinals.
Hilburn graduated from the College of Communication this past weekend. In four seasons with the Terriers, Hilburn scored 67 goals and added 41 assists for 108 points. He is one of just four Terriers to record at least 100 points and is one of only three BU players to finish his career with over 60 goals and 40 assists.
