
Silberlicht Set to Lead Latvia at World Lacrosse Championships

NETANYA, Israel - Boston University assistant men's lacrosse coach Max Silberlicht is set to lead the Latvian National Team at the 2018 World Lacrosse Championships, which begin in full on Thursday.
Silberlicht, who completed his first season on the Terrier coaching staff in 2018, has been the head coach of Latvia since the fall of 2016. His squad opened up group play on Thursday with a 13-10 victory over Mexico. Latvia will conclude its group schedule on Saturday against Greece, a contest that will be streamed live on ESPN+ (4:45 a.m. ET/11:45 a.m. IDT).
Latvia began its trip in Israel by conducting a joint practice with the Philippines. The squad most recently won the Berlin Open earlier this month in preparation for the World Championships.
