Men's Lacrosse Announces 2020 Schedule

BOSTON – Highlighted by seven home games, the Boston University men's lacrosse team announced its 2020 schedule on Wednesday afternoon.
BU will play 15 total games, including seven at Nickerson Field. The home slate features first-time visits by non-conference foes Ohio State and Utah as well as Patriot League contests against Bucknell, Lafayette, Navy and Army West Point.
Season ticket packages for both the men's and women's lacrosse teams are on sale now at Ticketmaster.com. The two programs will play a combined 16 games at home.
For the fifth straight year, the Terriers will open their schedule against Providence (Feb. 1). Each of the last three meetings between the two schools has been decided by one goal, including the Terriers' thrilling 8-7 win over the Friars last year.
After traveling to Columbus in 2018 and 2019, BU will welcome Ohio State to Nickerson Field on Feb. 8. The Terriers will then play six of their next seven games away from home, including a stretch of four straight road games that begins Feb. 15 at UMass Lowell. BU will also travel to Bryant (Feb. 18), Bellarmine (Feb. 22) and Colgate (Feb. 29) during that four-game stretch.
Following a home fixture against Bucknell on March 7, the Terriers will hit the road to face in-state rivals Holy Cross (March 14) and Harvard (March 17).
BU will begin a three-game homestand on March 21 against Lafayette before facing Navy (March 28) and second-year program Utah (April 4). The Terriers then travel to Loyola Maryland (April 11) and Lehigh (April 18) to close out the road portion of their schedule.
The Terriers will wrap up the regular season at home against Army West Point on April 24. The Patriot League postseason is set to begin with the quarterfinal round on April 28 at the higher seeds. The league's top seed will host the semifinals and championship on May 1 and 3.
