April 14, 2020

WAKEFIELD, Mass. - Abby Cook, Sammy Davis and Corinne Schroeder have been selected as New England Division I All-Stars, the New England Hockey Writers Association announced on Tuesday.

This is the third straight year that Cook has been recognized as a New England All-Star. She joins Marie-Philip Poulin as the only other Terrier to earn this honor in three different seasons. A dynamic defender who was outstanding at both ends of the ice, Cook tallied a career-high 30 points thanks to a career-best 10 goals in addition to 20 assists. She was one of just two Hockey East defenders to reach 30 points and she also led all league blue liners in goals (6), assists (14) and points (20) on the power play. A Hockey East First Team All-Star this year, Cook led all NCAA defenders with five game-winning goals and assisted on four others. She also blocked 45 shots and was a plus-14.

Davis concluded her impressive collegiate career with a second straight 40-point season. She led the Terriers with 17 goals, 24 assists and 41 points in 2019-20 en route to being named a Hockey East First Team All-Star. Davis finished fourth in Hockey East in assists and points and sixth in the league in goals, and she also led Hockey East with eight power-play goals. Davis, who is a New England All-Star for the first time, totaled 66 goals and 76 assists for 142 points in 147 career games. She became just the third Hockey East skater to receive the Sarah Devens Award, which is presented annually to a player who demonstrates leadership and commitment both on and off the ice.

Schroeder turned in the finest statistical season by a Terrier goaltender in program history. A Hockey East Second Team All-Star, Schroeder set new single-season program records when she ranked fourth in the NCAA with a .943 save percentage and was fifth among all NCAA goaltenders with a 1.54 goals-against average. Schroeder notched four shutouts, including two against Boston College, and was one of only two goaltenders in the country to have three shutouts with 30 or more saves. She backstopped the fourth-best defense in the nation (1.61 GA/G), one that ended the regular season having allowed just one goal per game at even strength.

At least one BU player has been named a New England Division I All-Star for each of the last 13 seasons.
