Women's Ice Hockey to Face Merrimack in Home-and-Home Weekend

The Boston University women's ice hockey team will return to action on Friday (Nov. 3) when it visits Merrimack to kick off a weekend home-and-home series. Game time at Lawler Rink is set for 2 p.m.
 
The Terriers will host the Warriors on Saturday (Nov. 4) at 4 p.m.
 
TERRIER TIDBITS
  • The Terriers, winners of their past two games, will look to continue the streak against the team that ended their season last February.
  • BU is coming off a 4-3 win at Maine last Saturday in which it never trailed and got goals from four different players.
  • Sophomore Sydney Healey has at least one point in four of BU's five games thus far this season and she leads the team with six points on three goals and three assists.
  • BU has had a balanced attack thus far as graduate student Nadia Mattivi (1g, 4a) and freshman Clara Yuhn (1g, 4a) each have five points while seniors Lacey Martin (3g, 1a) and Catherine Foulem (2g, 2a) have added four apiece.
  • Senior Andi Calderone leads the squad in plus-minus at plus-5.
  • The Terriers rank second among Hockey East teams in faceoff percentage at 54.1.
  • Freshman goaltender Mari Pietersen has started four games and currently has an .855 save percentage and a 2.70 goals-against average. 
 
SCOUTING THE WARRIORS
  • Merrimack has dropped its past four games but is coming off a hard-fought 3-2 overtime home loss to Boston College.
  • The Warriors' top win thus far was a 1-0 home triumph over Northeastern on Oct. 13.
  • Merrimack also swept a road weekend at Syracuse and earned a victory over Saint Anselm.
  • Two grad transfers lead the team in points with six apiece as Celine Tedenby (Maine) has five goals and an assist while Mary Edmonds (Holy Cross) has two goals and four assists.
  • Graduate student Allison Reeb had added two goals and three assists while sophomore Alex Ferguson ranks second on the team in goals with three.
  • Sophomore Calli Hogarth has started 10 of the team's 11 games in goal and currently has a .903 save percentage and 2.38 goals-against average.
 
SERIES HISTORY
  • The Terriers are 15-4-5 all-time against the Warriors, including an 8-2-3 record at Walter Brown Arena and a 6-2-2 mark at Lawler Rink.
  • The Terriers are 10-2-5 in the past 17 meetings.
 
UP NEXT
  • The Terriers will embark on another home-and-home series next weekend against New Hampshire.
  • BU will host the Wildcats on Friday, Nov. 11, before visiting Durham the following day.
