
Matses Named Hockey East Goaltender of the Week

AMESBURY, Mass. – Graduate student Alexa Matses of the Boston University women's ice hockey team was named the Stop It Goaltending Goaltender of the Week, the Hockey East announced Monday.
Matses recorded 21 saves in BU's 5-1 win over Providence to close out the first half of the season at Walter Brown Arena on Saturday. She boasted a .902 SVG against the Friars to help BU win in regulation for the first time in eight meetings.
The Terriers will be back in 2024 when they resume play on Monday, Jan. 8 at Maine. Puck drop is set for 5 p.m.
