MONTREAL, Que. - The Boston University women's ice hockey team posted a 5-2 win in an exhibition game at McGill on Saturday at McConnell Arena. Five Terriers recorded a goal in the program's first game on foreign soil.

Catherine Foulem and sophomores

Brooke Disher all tallied a goal. Graduate student
Nadia Mattivi had a pair of assists.Â
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Terriers never trailed in the game as they scored the first two goals of the game and broke a 2-2 tie with the final three tallies of the contest.
- FitzGerald lit the lamp for the Terriers just 3:13 into the opening frame to give BU an early lead.
- Healey added to BU's total with a goal of her own at 7:24 of the second period.
- McGill got on the board midway through the second with a power-play marker and then drew even at the 17:39 mark later in the period off another player advantage.
- The Terriers regained the lead right before the period came to a close as Yuhn found the back of the net with 0.6 seconds to go.
- BU controlled the play throughout the third period and Disher and Foulem each added a goal, bringing the final score to 5-2.Â
GAME NOTESÂ
- Mattivi recorded assists on Yuhn and Foulem's goals.
- Freshman Ella Huntley added an assist on FitzGerald's lamp-lighter while Healey earned a secondary assist on Yuhn's goal and sophomore Luisa Welcke helped on Disher's goal.
- Both goaltenders for BU made their debut in the arched Boston as freshman Mari Pietersen made nine saves on 11 shots while graduate student Alexa Matses stopped all five shots she faced while playing the final 22:21.
- Sophie Lajeunesse made 34 saves for McGill.
- BU outshot the Martlets, 39-16.
- The Terriers were 1-for-8 on the power play while McGill was 2-for-6.

- The Terriers will officially open their 2023-24 season on Friday (Oct. 6) when they play host to No. 5 Northeastern to kick off a weekend home-and-home series.
