DURHAM, N.H. – The No. 14 Boston University women's ice hockey team (14-7-1, 11-4-1 HE) dropped a 2-0 decision at New Hampshire (12-11-1, 8-9-0 HE).

UNH went up 1-0 about halfway into the first frame to secure a lead it never relinquished. UNH went on the power play twice in the second and BU successfully killed both, but the momentum from UNH's second power play early in the third helped it secure the 2-0 win.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After a slow start to the first, UNH took a 1-0 lead with 12:15 left in the opening frame.
- The Terriers led in shots on goal headed into the second, 10 to eight.
- BU was called for tripping at 12:06 in the second and successfully killed the penalty.
- Both teams continued to put pressure on either end of the ice through the period.
- The Terriers went to the box for hooking with 40.2 left in the middle stanza.
- Just as UNH's power play expired, it took a 2-0 lead at 1:22 in the third.
- BU pulled Shanahan from the posts at 15:38 for the extra skater but did not find the back of the net, ultimately falling 2-0.

GAME NOTES
- BU narrowly outshot UNH 26 to 24.
- The Terriers won 21 faceoffs compared to the Wildcats' 19.
- Graduate students Lindsay Bochna and Tamara Giaquinto led in shots on goal with four each.
- The Wildcats had no penalties in the game. The last time a BU opponent committed zero penalties in a game was on Feb. 16, 2024, at Vermont.
- UNH netminder Sedona Blair earned her fifth shutout of the season.
